What's up Sexy

Stephanie and I went to Waitrose to buy groceries for dinner tonight!  We went on the tube for the first time alone today.  We are naturals!  On the way home these guys kept on saying, "what's up sexy"--we acted like we didn't speak English and stared straight ahead!  Other than that, the people seemed nicer and in a better mood.  We decided they are happier since it is closer to the weekend.

LOVE the mall, it has a Tiffany's and a lot of cute stores including the Gap!  We want to shop, but we will wait until closer to the end so we will have enough money!!

We made a chicken and mushroom noodle dish with asparagus.  It was so good! We invited our downstairs neighbor, Matt, to come eat with us, but he had to bring his own fork (Gary only had three). The food turned out pretty darn good if you ask me!!!

Now we are watching TV and drinking tea--keeping Gary up.  Matt already went to bed, smart guy because they have work tomorrow!  TV commercials aren't that great here....they try to be funny, but they aren't that funny! They are silly!!

Tomorrow we plan on making breakfast for the boys - eggs, toast, and of course, tea. There are three choices of tea available at la casa de Gary - pomegranate, black, or green. We tried the pomegranate tonight and it is very delightful. We bought free trade sugar cubes on our trip to Waitrose to sweeten it up a bit. We also bought balsamic and sea salt kettle chips. We finally had to put a stop to shopping; otherwise, we might not have made it home with everything. Katie had to put the wine in her purse for the train ride. It was very handy!

So far, we are having a very nice time. The weather is something everyone back in Oklahoma can envy. All I kept hearing before I left was how much we were going to freeze while we were here. Well....guess what?!?! We are burning up because we over packed on sweaters and loads of layered clothing. So we may be mailing back some of our winter wear to make room for new t-shirts and souvenirs.

Oh, and Gary is related to Prince William's bride to be, so we plan on trying to meet the royal family while we're here. Pray that we don't get arrested!

It's about 2 a.m. now. We can't really go to sleep because we're all hyped up on tea from the caffeine and sugar cubes, not to mention the fact that we slept until 3:30 this afternoon. Until then, we are working on our English accents and mapping out our sightseeing trip tomorrow. Look forward to more stories of our adventures here in the U.K. Sweet dreams, Oklahoma. We miss your friendly faces.

Here are the pics we promised in the last blog. Enjoy!

Meet Gary!
Turn on shower separately.

Best invention ever! Hang your towel on this warming rack and it keeps you nice and toasty after every shower.

We have a lot of stuff. Good thing there's lots of shelf space!

Hidden washer AND dryer.

The modern English kitchen.

Gary's very bare fridge. The freezer is just below it.

This is what it looks like when the fancy lights are dimmed.

We made our bed today, so it's much more tidy than this.

British TV.

Dear, dear Katie :)
